This power unit will be quite powerful since it will generate an output of approximately 350 horsepower and a torque of 460 pounds-feet. This redesigned model will be capable of accelerating from zero to 60 mph in about 6.2 seconds.


 Its EPA ratings are expected to be 15 mpg in the city and about 21 mpg on the highway. This expected power train will be able to leverage its potential when combined to an eight speed automatic transmission although the Tahoe currents utilizes a six speed gearbox paired to the rear wheel drive system. Other additional features in the engine compartment include cylinder deactivation, direct injection and adjustable valve timing.
